These maps were published in October 2013 to help residents provide input into their Community’s Reconstruction Plan, which will support recovery and increase resiliency for communities affected by Hurricanes Sandy and Irene, and Tropical Storm Lee. As of February 7th 2014, these maps have been closed for comments as the NY Rising process nears completion.
Thank you to all community members who have provided invaluable information and ideas through these maps.
Preliminary Conceptual Plans were released in November 2013. A Final Community Reconstruction Plan proposing strategies and projects to meet the community’s short and long term resiliency goals will be completed and released by April 2014.
Over the course of 4 months, 310 comments were collected. This public input will help to guide the Planning Committee, its consultants and the NY State Office of Storm Recovery in developing projects and actions for rebuilding and resiliency to be included in the Final Community Reconstruction Plans.
